My dentist, my friend

My dentist is my friend. My dentist is probably my bestest friend.

Why?

Who else would I trust an hour of my working day to?

Who else would listen to me whine and wail to about toothache?

Who else would I let look into my mouth and at (what's left of) my pearlies?

Who else would I let poke around inside my mouth with a sharp needle?

Who else would I let numb first my tooth, then my face?

Who else would I let loose inside my mouth with a loud, scary drill?

Who else but someone I trust?

That's why my dentist is my bestest friend.

Even if he scares the living daylights out of me....
